
CHICKEN ADOBO FILIPINO DISH
FILIPINO ADOBO INGREDIENTS
- 1 spring chicken cut in serving sizes
- 1/2 c. soy sauce (low salt)
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 1 head fresh garlic
- 8 to 10 pepper corn
- 1 sm. bay leaf
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. salt according to taste
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. monosodium glutamate (Accent)
- 1/3 c. sherry, optional
Mix all ingredients by hand in a pot. Marinate for about 5 minutes. Boil slowly and covered until meat is almost cooked. Do not stir. Remove cover. Stir and continue boiling until meat is tender. Serve hot with rice...enjoy the Filipino adobo !
